The WS3000 is an air-cooled woodworking tool sharpening system that consistently and accurately grinds, sharpens and hones to a perfect 20°, 25°, 30° or 35° bevel angle without cumbersome jigs. It also allows you to sharpen a perfect 5° micro-bevel for even faster re-honing, or create custom edge profiles using the horizontal, low-speed abrasive wheel.
The WS3000 sharpens:

The Work Sharp WS3000 Woodworking Tool Sharpener uses a high torque 1/5 HP motor and produces a maximum wheel speed of 580 RPM, making the large abrasive area safer, cooler and easier to control than vertical grinding wheels. The WS3000 utilizes gear reduced wheel speed (while preserving consistent torque output) to sharpen tools without overheating or damaging the temper of the steel. And when sharpening chisels and plane irons, the tool rests on a forced-air heat sink that literally takes the heat away from the tool as it sharpens. This patented heat sink is coated with a replaceable ceramic oxide lapping abrasive that automatically deburrs your edges as you sharpen.
The WS3000 includes 2 tempered glass wheels (150mm) – giving you 4 abrasive surfaces (2 per wheel) to quickly and easily meet the sharpening task at hand. The WS3000 also comes with the innovative Edge-Vision wheel. Slots in the Edge-Vision wheel allow you to see the cutting edge of the tool you are sharpening, making it easier than ever to sharpen carving tools and lathe tools by eliminating guess work and over-grinding.
