R&D Bandsaws 145-5/8" 1" x 2TPI Tungsten Silicon B  ( R&D Bandsaws 1455812)

The Industrial Silicon band has three to four times the blade life of a normal industrial band.  This band is made with tungsten silicon chrome alloy added to carbon steel. This gives the blade a harder tooth and the ability to withstand higher temperatures before they are effected by heat.  It requires less tension to cut straight.  All blades have milled teeth to give them a uniform tooth and a much sharper tooth, which means a smoother finish. The best choice for resawing is the 1/2" x 3TPI. This blade performs like a much wider blade using only half as much power; therefore, this is ideal for a saw with less than 1 HP.
