Important Tips On How To Clean Using
A Pressure Washer

  1. Be sure to wear proper eye protection and clothing when using your pressure washer. (ie: no open-toed shoes, hearing protection, etc)
  2. When starting to clean, it is best to start off 4-5 feet away from the cleaning area and use a wide fan pattern, adjusting your distance and pattern accordingly. This will allow you to find the most effective cleaning technique without damaging the surface you're cleaning.
  3. If using detergents, read the label to determain any possible risks to animals or plants and act accordingly (ie: cover shrubs, put pets indoors)
  4. When applying detergents, start spraying from the bottom of the object and work up. When rinsing, follow the same technique, rinsing up from bottom up. The will help prevent streaking.
  5. Allow the detergent to remain on the cleaning surface for 1-3 minutes before rinsing it off. This will give the cleaning chemicals time to break down the dirt. (If cleaning windows, only allow 1 minute before rinsing to help prevent streaking
  6. For best results, use a cleaning tool (ie: brush, rotary nozzle, etc) with the detergent to tackle really hard-to-clean jobs.
