This latest version of the Nova DVR lathe has some significant upgrades over previous versions. The variable speed range is still from 100 - 3500 RPM, but the newly designed motor has double the torque at slower speeds (below 1000 RPM), a bonus for turners of large bowls. It also features a new wider bed design, soft grip handles on the tool stock and tailstock, and a new micro chip which allows for 5 user defined pre-programmed speeds.
