Featuring a large 27 by 25-inch heavy cast-iron table with a smooth, ground surface finish, the 40-250 M1 ¾-inch spindle wood shaper from General International is compact, yet still offers serious capacity, and is capable of performing accurate shaping in light to medium duty industrial applications. Equipped with a magnetic safety switch with thermal overload protection, making it an ideal choice for schools and professional workshops, the 40-250 M1 has a 3 HP 220 volt industrial motor, protected against dust by a fully enclosed cabinet, and features 2 spindle speeds, 8000 and 10,000 RPM with reverse, providing the necessary power and performance to suit most general purpose shaping applications. Independently adjustable left and right fences feature precision micro-adjustment knobs, and the fence system includes a large adjustable height cutter guard, adjustable spring-clamp hold-downs and a built-in cast-iron dust hood with 4-inch outlet. The 40-250 M1 comes equipped with a ½ inch and a ¾-inch spindle, ¼ and ½ inch router bit collets, a t-slot miter gauge and push sticks to get you started quickly right out of the crate.
